Which UK bookmakers run 2Up early payout offers, how matched bettors use them, and how 2Up alerts find close back and lay prices. 18+.
A 2Up offer is a football promotion: if the team you backed goes two goals ahead at any point, the bookmaker settles your bet as a winner, even if the match finishes level or your team loses. Matched bettors use it because the bookmaker can pay out while the exchange side of the bet is still running.
Which UK bookmakers offer 2Up?
Several UK bookmakers run a version of the offer under different names. Names and terms change, so check each bookmaker's own promotion page before betting.
- bet365, Early Payout Offer: long-running; see our bet365 2up offer guide.
- Paddy Power, 2 Up & You Win: uses a separate 2UP market; see Paddy Power 2 Up rules.
- Sky Bet, Coral, Ladbrokes, Virgin Bet, LiveScore Bet, William Hill and others, 2Up / 2 Up Early Payout: eligible matches, markets and multiples rules differ by bookmaker.

Betfair Sportsbook runs a different offer, the 90 Minute Payout, which pays if your team is winning at 90:00 rather than two goals up.
How matched bettors use a 2Up offer
- Step 1, back: back a team to win with the bookmaker on the qualifying 2Up market.
- Step 2, lay: lay the same team on a betting exchange, at a lay price as close as possible to the back price.
- Step 3, if the team never goes two goals up: the back and lay roughly cancel out. You lose a small amount, called the qualifying loss.
- Step 4, if the team goes two goals up: the bookmaker settles your back bet as a winner. Your lay bet is still live on the exchange. If the team then fails to win, the lay bet wins too.
The edge comes from step 4 happening often enough to outweigh the small qualifying losses in step 3. It is a long-run edge, not a promise on any single match. A 2Up payout is not a profit on its own: if the team goes on to win, the lay loses, and you end close to where you started.
The details, including how to lay and how to handle the position after a payout, are in the 2Up trick and 2Up hints and tips.
What makes a good 2Up bet
- A close match between back and lay prices. The closer they are, the smaller the qualifying loss. This matters more than anything else.
- Liquidity on the exchange. A good price is no use if there is not enough money at it to lay your stake.
- A team likely to score twice. Strong favourites go two up more often, though their odds are shorter.
- The right market. Some bookmakers apply 2Up only to a dedicated market. A bet on the wrong market will not qualify.
Why finding them by hand is slow
There are hundreds of matches a week across a dozen bookmakers and three exchanges, and prices move every few seconds. Checking each match by hand means most close matches have gone by the time you find them.
What 2Up alerts do
Innovision Labs watches bookmaker and exchange prices for UK 2Up offers and sends you an alert when a back price and a lay price are close enough to be worth a look. Each alert shows the match, the bookmaker, the exchange, both prices and a rating of how close they are. You choose your own minimum rating and the bookmakers you use, and alerts arrive by email, web push or Discord.
We also tell you when a team goes two goals up, and when a team that was two up gets pegged back, so you know when to look at your exchange position.
Alerts help you find bets faster. They do not make a losing bet win, and you still place every bet yourself.
Is 2Up the same as early payout?
Mostly. "Early payout" is the general name; 2Up is the version triggered by a two-goal lead.
Do 2Up offers apply to accumulators?
It depends on the bookmaker. Some include multiples, some do not. Check the terms.
Do in-play bets qualify?
Usually not. Most 2Up offers are for bets placed before kick-off.
Can I lose money matched betting 2Up offers?
Yes. Each qualifying bet usually costs a small amount, and mistakes, price moves or a voided bet can cost more. Only stake what you can afford to lose.
Safer betting
18+ only. Bookmaker offers are promotions; their terms can change or be withdrawn, so always check the bookmaker's own terms before betting. Matched betting reduces risk but does not remove it: mistakes, price moves and voided bets can cause losses. Only bet what you can afford to lose. Please gamble responsibly.
